This study explores innovative strategies and technologies aimed at addressing these challenges, emphasizing water conservation, energy optimization, and the valorization of dairy by-products. Effective water management practices, including recycling and advanced treatment technologies, are discussed as essential for mitigating environmental impacts. Energy efficiency in milk processing is highlighted through the adoption of renewable energy sources, energy recycling methods, and process optimization techniques. Furthermore, waste minimization is addressed via circular economy approaches, transforming dairy waste streams into valuable products. Constructed wetlands, physico-chemical treatments, and biological processes are examined for their effectiveness in treating dairy wastewater. The findings underscore the need for integrating advanced technologies and sustainable practices to enhance operational efficiency and environmental stewardship in the dairy industry. This holistic approach not only reduces the environmental footprint but also contributes to economic viability, paving the way for a more sustainable future in milk processing.
