| Tartalmi kivonat: | The global water crisis has become one of the most pressing challenges of the 21st century, with over two billion people lacking access to clean drinking water. This study explores how digitalisation can serve as both a solution and a risk in achieving the human right to water. The research applies a multidisciplinary methodology, combining legal analysis, policy review, and regional case studies, particularly from Latin America. The results reveal that while smart technologies can increase efficiency and transparency, they may also deepen inequality without proper regulatory safeguards. The study proposes a framework of legislative and policy recommendations to ensure water digitalisation remains a tool for equity and sustainability. |
