The influence of polyvinylpyrrolidone on furosemide complexation with randomly-methylated-beta-cyclodextrin
The combined effect of randomly-methylated-d-cyclodextrin (RAMEB) and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) on the solubility of furosemide (FS) was studied. Different molar ratios(1:1, 1:2) and various preparation methods (physical mixing, kneading, ultrasonication) were used for the preparation of the comple...

Tartalmi kivonat: | The combined effect of randomly-methylated-d-cyclodextrin (RAMEB) and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) on the solubility of furosemide (FS) was studied. Different molar ratios(1:1, 1:2) and various preparation methods (physical mixing, kneading, ultrasonication) were used for the preparation of the complexes, and a quantity of 15% of PVP was added. The ternary inclusion complexes were analyzed by in vitro dissolution tests, differential scanning calorimetry, in vitro membrane diffusion and X-ray diffraction. The presence of RAMEB and PVP strongly influences different parameters of furosemide: solubility, dissolution, leading to the possibility of obtaining new pharmaceutical preparations, with a greater bioavailability. |
