Tartalmi kivonat:The language teaching-learning process is rather complex so in this paper I will only focus on a certain area of this process, i.e. on teaching-learning vocabulary by action. Activity plays a significant role especially in revision and systematization. As teachers use various ways of practice with pleasure, actively involving their learners in this process. Several books and other materials are also available which help the teacher’s and learners’ work in these phases. But I know from experience that the pupils’ active participation in the introduction phase is less. That is the reason why I want to deal with this part of the teaching-learning process. I wish to show some examples how new vocabulary teaching can be carried out with the learners’ active participation at different age levels. My dissertation consists of 2 main parts: in the first section I investigate the theoretical background of practice which I want to refer to in the second practical part of the paper. The second section is the description of the particular lessons realized by me.
