Tartalmi kivonat:This thesis examinesone of the most omitted spheres of teaching English as a foreign language: teaching vocabulary. Using most significant sources of methodology, presenting methods, techniques, activities, games, handling of teaching aids I will demonstrate how teaching vocabulary can be made an interesting and enjoyable part of the English lesson and help young children with developing their foreign language skills. Adoptation of teaching vocabulary in primary schools in lower classes of my town is engaged in research. It proves that teaching vocabulary is a part of every English language lesson independently of the further aims of thelesson. I found that the more varied methods are used by the teachers for teaching and practicing vocabulary the better their pupils' language skills are.
