Tartalmi kivonat: | This thesis deals with the possibilities of using a literary work in the teachinglearning process. It is meant to be an experimentál rather than theoretical work. I built a short story into a course for a group of secondary grammar school students. A literary review is given after the brief introduction of the theme. By analysing the advantages and disadvantages of using literature in the classroom I try to point out how to build on its advantages and how to exploit the possibilities lying at the teacher's hands. In the second part of my thesis I write about the circumstances of the course, the learners, the place and the period of time that was given. This description helps to understand my aims, choices and decisions taken. The third part of my thesis is about the questionnaire in which the students were offered several types of literary works to choose from. Their answers and attitudes to the texts are analysed and a conclusion is drawn. The central part of my thesis is the description of how the chosen literary work was actually built into the course. The reader can observe the difficulties as well as the success of the work in the classroom. The exercises, the methods used and the student's responses are discussed as well. Finally, a conclusion is drawn, in which the whole process is evaluated and suggestions for further improvements are given. |
