Tartalmi kivonat: | This study deals with specific education needs in English vocabulary learning of dyslexic primary learners. These children have poor results and fail from time to time in upper primary classes. Their insufficiencies and deficits become larger and larger every year, although according to a 10-year old Hungarian Government's Decree in the Hungarian Public Educational Act, modified in 2003 it is compulsory to consider the special education needs of learners with specific learning difficulties. Teachers have to integrate these learners into normal classes and teach them with individualised teaching methods. My interest in this topic has issued from five years I have spent in an elementary school where I attempted to teach English to upper elementary students with learning difficulties. Passing through several methodically challenging situations made me study the compensatory strategies. Therefore the aim of my thesis is to explore the field of special needs. I will focus on vocabulary teaching techniques I intend to reach a conclusion by collecting useful strategies can be later applied, completed and refined. I will prove that dyslexic learners can learn English vocabulary efficiently in integrated classes by the teachers applying strategies and techniques considering student's special education needs. |
