Tartalmi kivonat: | This thesis examines one of the most exciting literary genre of the 20`" century: the theater of absurd. Talking about absurd literature would be unimaginable without speaking about Samuel Beckett, the main representative of this genre. In my thesis, I would like to investigate his well-known play, Waiting for Godot from three different viewpoints. These approaches are based on the question of God, the role of language and communication, and the way of how "Beckettian people" of the play lead their habitual everyday life. I want to demonstrate the importance and relevance of these universal dilemmas in Waiting for Godot with the help of some philosophical analogies—looking for what is behind the absurdity of the Beckettian existence. |
