| Tartalmi kivonat: | The Rare Books and Manuscripts Collection of the Library of the Hungarian Parliament consists of approximately 8000 volumes covering various subject areas ranging from law, politics, legislation, public administration and history to geography, economics, theology, military sciences and literature. An MP and established book collector, Ignác Ghyczy’s (1799–1870) bequest donated by his heirs to the then Library of the House of Representatives in 1872 serves as a remarkable part of the collection. In the essay books and documents from the Rare Books and Manuscripts Collection of the Library of the Hungarian Parliament will be presented on Požega County and the Southern Region. The five publications are very variegated and of a colorful composition. János Érdy’s numismatic volume from the Ghyczy Collection A’ szerb zsupánok, királyok, és czárok pénzei : XXIII. réznyomattal (Budán [Buda] : A’ Magy. Kir. Egyetem’ betüivel, 1843) was the first to describe the coinage of the Serbian state, which was closely linked to Hungary in history, in the XII-XIV centuries. It contains references to Požega County. Iter per Poseganam Sclavoniae provinciam mensibus junio, et julio anno MDCCLXXXII (Budae [Buda] : Typis Regiae Universitatis [Egyetemi Nyomda], 1783) written by Jesuit monks and scientists Matthias Piller and Ludwig (Ljudevit) Mitterpacher describes physical geography, flora and fauna and ethnography of Požega County, illustrated by 16 copper engraving folios. Inclyta universitas! Eo per supremam ... in Hungaria ... jurisdictiones cum statu militari ... Budae Die 20. Junii Anno 1786. celebrato : 25.225 : 25.231 ([s.l.] : [s.n.], [1780-1790]) contains orders of the Consilium Regium Locumtenentiale Hungaricum. 130 documents are placed in a box. Document No. 10 is a postal order sheet in German and it has the title Der von Sr. Majestät aus Kroatien nach Slavonien über Posega bis Essegg ... Postkourse ... Ofen den 26. Juny 1787. Demonstratio, quod Comitatus Syrmiensis, Verőczensis et Poseganus partem integrantem Regni Hungariae constituant is a 17-page manuscript in Latin ([s.l.] : [s.n.], [s.a.]) on the public law of Požega, Syrmia and Virovitica County in the 18th and 19th century. The copy was made in the period between the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century. Urmánczy Nándor levelesládája : titkos jelentések : 1919-1920 ([s.l.] : [s.n.], [1925]) of politician and MP Nándor Urmánczy contains confidential reports from Serbian-occupied territory in the Southern Region. |
