Tartalmi kivonat: | In this research, I present sixteen seals found during metal detector research carried out between January 2020 and May 2021 at the Gerendás Site No. 1. I tried to identify the seven unknown seals found in the material, however, their parallels and place of origin are unknown. There are three pieces from Silesia (Löwenberg, Görlitz), two from Southern Germany (Ulm, Nürnberg), and, probably, four English type seals that were probably made in the Körös-Tisza-Maros region. I attempted to determine the seven unknown seals based on data from heraldic and written sources. The determination of the types and places of origin may change after the processing of the entire material recovered from the site. In my opinion, the unknown types may be mainly of German imperial and Silesian origin, but the possibility of Italian origin should not be ignored either, since Italian textile goods arrived in the country since the 13th century. In the last part of the research, I examined the textile trade data found in the Hungarian and Turkish customs logs. This revealed that in the 16th century, medium-quality South German, Italian and Silesian goods flowed to the territory of the Kingdom of Hungary from the northern and southern trade routes. |
