| Tartalmi kivonat: | The present study deals with the legal background of the types of procedure and punishment of reprisal after the failed Hungarian revolution and war of independence against the proletariat’s communist dictatorship in 1956. From the view of a concrete case happened in Gyulavári, the author summarises the legal forms of the martial trials and the legislation on the subject by the so-called Revolutionary Workers’ and Peasants’ Government as well as the Presidential Council of the People’s Republic of Hungary to show the mechanism of the post-revolutionary state violence. One can read data on the total number of victims suffered a death punishment for participation between 1956 and 1963. |
