| Tartalmi kivonat: | The author of the article presents a historical summary about the state concepts in Hungary between 1945 and 1990 based on the problem of the meaning of democratic institutions and on the constitutional differences between the so-called bourgeois and people’s democratic eras. The focus is established on the theories of the division of powers characteristic to the bourgeois states and the democratic centralism characteristic to the communist states. Among these topics the study deals with the function of human rights, local governance, local councils, executive committees, courts and ideological backgrounds as well as the influence of the soviet legal and political system. Some conclusions are also expressed in connection to the evaluation of the historical legacy in our days. |
