Tartalmi kivonat: | In the first half of the 1990s, career socialization activities and research aimed at answering the following questions. What does higher education do to develop future educator personalities, how to apply their knowledge of career socialization in professional education, and what do the teacher candidates expect from higher education and careers? (Bagdy 1993) While European higher education prefers the predominance of theoretical training, there is a continuing need for practical training and personal development training in educational and support careers. Research has also begun on the introduction of a teacher promotion system. The candidates’ career motivations were examined in relation to elements of the career model. In our research, we analyzed the motivation letters of student candidates applying for teaching positions at Károly Eszterházy University through document analysis. (N = 120) The study examines what motivational factors they consider to be important in their orientation to the career path of student candidates choosing a teaching career. |
