Tartalmi kivonat:Bronze Age in Central Europe can be characterized by significant population increases, the intensification of craft production and new forms of agricultural output. One of the most important cultures in the history of the Middle Bronze Age Carpathian Basin is the Maros group. This culture’s settlements were found in the swampy areas near the Tisza and Maros confluence, and these great cemeteries (Szőreg C, Deszk A, F, Ószentiván, Óbéba, Pitvaros, Battonya, Mokrin, Törökkanizsa) characterized by predominantly inhumations. The dead were buried in socially appropriate attire and laid down in the grave primarily in shrunken position and placed on their sides. Some of these cemeteries have revealed characteristic population structure (e.g. lack of very young individuals), and this phenomenon might be in association with culture-related social phenomena and biological processes. The aim of our paper is to present the results of the examination of the osteoarchaeological samples from the Deszk F and Szőreg C cemeteries’ subadult age individuals. During our research, classical physical anthropological analyses of 26 individuals’ skeletal remains were carried out, we present our paleodemographic and paleopathological results.
