Tartalmi kivonat:The right to information is a right that can be found in almost every field of law. The Hungarian Fundamental law mentions five seperate articles regarding the examined right, including the health care system and the informed consent, data protection and accessing information of public interest, the media freedom and informing the public opinion, the right to good administration and the right to fair trial. From among these rights I have examined the right to good administration in detail. Regarding the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union the right to good administration can be divided into three parts: informing clients, the right of having access to files and the administration’s obligation to give reasons for its decisions. As the new public management or the so-called good government is being developed in Hungary, the right to good administration has become more significant. E-government has a very important role in informing the clients about their rights and obligations therefore the webpages of administrative authorites has become more detailed and more user-friendly. Furthermore, due to some state programs the e-procedures are now much more accessable than a few years ago. As the next phase of developing the tools of good administration the governmental hotline has been established in order to help the clients in general administrative questions and to povide them with technical support. Nowdays personal administration needs more improvements because there are still some issues like loopholes, deficient data service of clients and the sometimes inappropriate technical condotions of administrative authorities, which prevent the individualised and complete information of the clients.
