| Tartalmi kivonat: | The department (with 40 beds, in charge of a district of Budapest with 100 000 inhabitants) was one of the NationalInstitute of Psychiatry and Neurology with a special spiritual profile. One of the main problems of modem psychiatric departments is complexity because they work on three levels: biological, socio therapeutic and psychotherapeutic. The three fields interact with each other and can destroy their effect through interferences. We added to these a fourth dimension the spiritual view. Our conceptions started from Jungian depth psychology and transpersonal psychology. In our department the depth psychological view was the main integrator and the organizer of the works of the other three fields. Working with the concept of therapeutic community we organized permanent horizontal and vertical problem discussing groups for the staff. This complex form of treatment needed in the staff graduated psychotherapists, clinical psychologists, sociotherapists and it was useful if they had spiritual experiences. |
