Tartalmi kivonat: | Through a lowland example of a detailed perambulation from Cegléd, we provide an overview and reconstruction of the contemporary topography and prevailing landscape elements. Lands and boundaries of the market town of Cegléd, was mainly investigated based on a rather detailed perambulation charter dated to 1368. The conditions described in this important 14л -сепШгу document were further compared to other, 15л -сепП1гу charters describing the area. In addition, the results of (local, medieval) historical research and archaeological, natural scientific (archeogeomorphology, geography/geology, archeobotany) investigations were applied in the analysis as well. As a geographical basis, we used le^-century (local administrative, military, land use) maps. In order to identify and localise the key points and landscape elements of the medieval perambulation(s), a field survey has been also carried out in the study area. Results of the complex analysis provide information on the medieval landscape of the study area. For example, it was possible to fix most parts of the key morphological features, contemporary hydrological conditions and related water management practices and contemporary road system. In many cases we could also detect prevailing land exploitation types (forest, meadows, pasture, arable lands, ponds), some elements of the local vegetation (wild pear, poplar, oak - individually or as a forest) along the boundaries, and could also identify some of the changes occurred between the mid/late 14th and the mid/late 15th centuries. Compared to the early modern and 18л -сепШгу conditions, some significant differences could be also identified, for example the medieval existence of an extensive forested area that ceased to exist in the early modem period. |
