Tartalmi kivonat: | I examined how chess influences different skills in upper-nursery and lower-primary school groups. I measured creativity, intelligence, and motivation, using Torrance and Raven tests, as well as motivational acquisition surveys. Based on the comparative analysis of the preparatory research carried out in the first year, and the follow-up research carried out in the second year, I postulate that chess has a positive developmental effect on certain skills and that this is a transfer effect, which shows in an improvement in school performance. I hope that the results of my research will help chess education become a part of the school curriculum. |
