| Tartalmi kivonat: | The Institute was established in 1990 in Békéscsaba as the first like that of the minorities in Hungary. The goal of the Research Institute of the Slovaks in Hungary is to carry out the scientific analysis of the sociological processes affecting the past and present situation of the Slovaks in Hungary (and also Romania, Serbia) in order to preserve the Slovak culture, language and traditions. The main characteristic of the research institute is that it was established as an institute of interdisciplinary social sciences executing historical, ethnographic, cultural anthropologic, linguistic and sociological researches, as well as, pedagogical and editorial/publishing activities. |
