Tartalmi kivonat:According to EU statistics – an average figure in developed market economies – family entrepreneurships do not survive a generation shift. According to the French Chamber, in case of a seemingly planned and methodically executed company inheritance (from a retiring owner to another family member) every third company has not even survived the transfer after seven years. Also nearly 20% fall victim of the transfer process itself. This is certainly a serious loss of property with regard to the national wealth, and also a very serious financial loss to the affected families themselves, not to mention the emotional strain. The company inheritance’s pitfalls often appear as specific signs of crisis, thus crisis management experts are confronted by this problem in Hungary. As the author is an expert in a specific field of consultancy, the present study does not scrutinise possible types of heredity (outputs), but rather its methodological aspects.
