| Tartalmi kivonat: | De-growth is strongly different from the usual mainstream economic theorizing. According to the thinkers of this line of economic thought growth is not necessarily desirable. Moreover, in many cases it is specifically harmful and the cause of our ecological and social problems. Hence, the proposal is to restructure the current growth-oriented economic system democratically and peacefully, and to think of new means and ends in order to move towards real sustainability from the aspect of society and environment too. The theory of de-growth suggests to localize production and consumption as much as possible, so in this way these can be one of the keys to start the transition. My research questions are that what are the characteristics of sustainable de-growth consumption, and how can the different kind of local food movements serve the goals of de-growth from the aspect of consumers. |
