The content structure of most of the newspapers suddenly adapted to warfare, and many of them were unable to function, so they were temporarily or permanently finished publishing. There were two local newspapers in Magyarkanizsa at the outbreak of the World War: the Kanizsai Újság and the Kanizsai Ellenõr. We are asking the question of how the first period of war influenced the functioning of the two press products.
