Tartalmi kivonat: | Teacher’s burnout and its relationship with teacher’s self-efficacy and emotional creativity: Nowadays it is a well-known fact, that burnout among pedagogues is a very complex phenomenon; for a precise measurement and interpretation, its exploration from different approaches and perspectives is essential. Burnout syndrome is a state of mind, which occurs as a result of long-term emotional burdens and stress, and involves physical, emotional and mental exhaustion; it mostly affects people working in human sphere. According to scientific surveys the highest number of burnouts is among pedagogues, since being a teacher is one of the most stressful professions of modern societies. Professional burnout among pedagogues has effect not only on the teacher’s emotions and mental health, but also on their environment and interpersonal relationships. The aim of this research is to examine the burnout rate among pedagogues and whether a connection between the stage of burnout, the teacher’s self- efficacy, and their emotional creativity exists. The participants were 155 pedagogues who work in primary and secondary schools, from which 34 male and 121 female. Their average age was 40,9 years (deviation = 9,246) with an average 13,4 years (deviation = 9,468) of practice. During the research the E:BOP(Emprowement: Burnout-Prevention of Teacher), the Ohio State Teacher Efficacy Scale (OSTES) and the Emotional Creativity Inventory (ECI) were filled out. According to the results, burnout can be strongly linked with the teacher’s efficacy, although no clear connection between burnout and emotional creativity was found. In addition, it has been shown that efficacy and emotional creativity share a significant connection. It is important that this research’s aim was to examine teachers’ burnout from a different approach, which would be worth testing on a larger group of people to be able to apply burnout prevention methods efficiently and properly in teachers’ everyday life. |
