In today's tough economical situation the role of big companies become more and more important, as these organisations which have enough financial and technology potency, knowledge and skills in order to help maintain and develop their environment. Why should a company strive to be ethical? How much effort should go towards being ethical? What commitments do they have? What are the things the company can do versus what a company has to do? Which company will be the one that will be supported by the purchase of the consumers? What would they vote for? Do the consumers take into consideration the consequence of their (responsible) purchase decision? In this article the author is looking for the answers to these questions above and introducing the theoretical and practical background of corporate responsibility, latter through an example.
