Tartalmi kivonat: | This article is about the Hungarian dialect of Changos who live in Moldova, in the eastern region of Romania.-Their forebears come-ffom the Carpathian basin, they settled down in Moldova between the twelfth and the eighteenth centuries. They are geographically isolated from the Hungarian language so their dialect has retained many archaisms. The Romanian language has had a considerable influence on the Chango dialect. This dialect is not unified because the population comes from different parts of the Hungarian language area and the Chango villages have mixed with the Romanian population in different degree. Besides, they arrived at their present homeland in different periods so they spoke the language in different ways. This article is about the characteristics of two Chango groups. The characteristics are described phonetically, morphologically, lexically and syntaxically. One part of their features is the same because in both groups Szekler population can be found. Other parts of the features are different because the origin of the two groups’ villages is not the same. |
