| Tartalmi kivonat: | The title of my diploma work is : Disney's Aladdin in the English lesson. I really tried to bring this cartoon in the lesson by making a workbook for the film. The students of the 5th or 6thgrade watch the film and fill in the workbook in groups. The colorful workbook can be found in the appendix. The actual writing of the workbook was preceded by many other work. In the first two chapters I would like to introduce the man whose cartoon I chose. I wanted to see who Walt Disney was and how his studio worked. In the next chapter I study the characteristic features of the 8-10 year-olds, who I chose to write the workbook for. Then I introduce the workbook itself in the teachers' guide. This chapter works together with the workbook and the film. Here I try to give some useful information about the teaching of the cartoon with the workbook. The teachers can find information about the recommended group numbers as well as the treatment of each activity. The workbook has been tried out in six classes, and I asked the teachers to fill in a questionnaire about how they appreciate the work they've done. The questionnaire is also in the appendix. In conclusion, from the teachers' feedback, I think that I managed to create a workbook, which is full of motivating and useful activities. There are only a few problems or mistakes which can quite easily be corrected. |
