Tartalmi kivonat:The American eating habits ofthese days have their roots in the ancient times ofthe history of the American nation, at the time of the discocery of America the geographic and natural endowments ofthis country provided a vivid variety ofspecies of plants and animals the European people have not known before. These became the basis ofthe developing ofthe American eating culture. During the waves ofimmigrations, the new ethnic groups introduced their own kitchen to the New World and some oftheir dishes or drinks became so popular that today they serve as American and not as ethnic any more. For several reasons there has always been a strong intent in the USA for Americanization. This was partly caused by patriotic or other kinds ofmovements, historical evens, or even because ofthe interest ofthe business. As a result ofthis whole process a unique American cuisine emerged that is characteristic for this nation and that became worldwide-known.
