Dante’s approach to contemporary studies remains a cardinal pivot interpreting his production, not only the Commedia, but also Convivio and Vita Nova, texts where he mostly conveyed theoretical and philosophical standpoints. One can remark a still persistent Aristotelianism, prevealing upon the platonic one, the latter proper of recent rethinking contributes, which recall Boethius and Guillaume de Conches as sources of Dante’s orientation in similar complex cosmic system. Conches’ integumental hermeneutics allows further evaluation of pythagorean and platonic functions related to Muses and Sirens, critical actresses of sound, motion and time in ancient skylines. This article analyses Dante’s transition from similar pagan to correspondent, fictional christian figures, like Blessed and Angels, which he assigns analogous role, rank and site in Paradise.
