Tartalmi kivonat:The paper aims to investigate one of the most successful Hungarian socialist realist operettas entitled Boci-boci tarka – composed by Mátyás Czizmarek, poems written by Ernő Innocent V., and lyrics written by Ottó Vincze – focussing on the elements of the matyó-styled wedding, especially the dancing scenes. The main ideological conflict has appeared between the prima donna (a peasant) and the bon vivant (a communist), because it is forbidden to slaughter a cow. Although the prima donna would like to follow the traditions as the matyó-styled wedding includes a cow slaughtering. However, the bon vivant is a law-abiding communist. The research design encompasses two parts: 1. the summary of the operetta, 2. the (dance) elements of the wedding.
