| 520 | 3 | |a The essay demonstrates the international aspects of trademarks with examining the international legal institutions of industrial property law. The starting point is the traditionally international sphere of intellectual property law. This international aspect is mainly true for the legal regulation of trademarks. First the author presents the general rules in Paris Convention, after this he establishes the connection with other universal trademark treaties such as the Madrid Registration of Marks Treaty, the Madrid Protocol and the Lisbon Arrangement. In the second chapter of the study the author emphasizes the significance of the international organizations, which play a major role in harmonizing and unifying different areas of law regulations. This tendency can also be seen in the field of international trademark law. Finally the author touches upon the most important result of the harmonization: the establishment of EU trademark system. Introducing the Community Trademark has huge advantages for Hungary as a member state of the European Union. | |
