Tartalmi kivonat:The Act LXXXIX of 2011 introduced a new special procedure in criminal process. The rules of special procedure called cases of great importance included a provision of special jurisdiction. The law gives a definition of cases of great importance but that is quite problematical and inexact. The lawmaker intended to create a kind of accelerated procedure by this amendment therefore enacted strict deadlines to conduct criminal proceeding. However it is not a solution to avoid prolonging procedure, it specifies requirements that the court cannot meet with. The most problematical dispositions refer to the right of defense which has been radically restricted. The legislator passed several disputed provisions into law. By the end of December 2011, most of the crucial ones have been annuled by the Constitutional Court.
