The instructions she had heard in her visions served as a means of criticism of her age, as well as a guidance for both civil and religious leaders to find the right way to salvation. She is also remembered by the so-called Bridget-prayer. According to the traditions, if someone recited this prayer, they would be saved from afterlife damnation. In my essay, I will try to analyze how these traditions started, their relations with archaic prayers and their role nowadays in a Moldavian Hungarian society. | |
