Tartalmi kivonat:George Katona in his research on consumer confidence index asked people about their perception of their financial situation and that of their national economies because he thought people optimistic versus gloomy outlook did have an impact on the economy. Thomas found that consumers predicted the inflation rate more clearly than economists, and, according to Gramlich, we know that consumers' expectations of unemployment also prove to be true. According to Howrey, the consumer confidence index is a significant indicator of GDP growth. Research also demonstrates that the demographic features based on "hard" factors (age, activity, income) need to be supplemented by factors typical of consumer attitudes (values, motivations, goals, perceptions of life). According to Veres and his colleagues, value and motivation play a central role in diverging consumer decisions, the socio-demographic and environmental factors have a subordinate role and merely have a modifying effect. Defining the concept of value is different, according to some research, individual determination, while others claim that social determinism has a prominent role. We have selected and moved to the focus of our research the employee, to be the chief character in our current research. By qualitative value research, we look for an answer to the question of how the employee's set of values change. Does value system help or hinder in the adaptation of change?
