Tartalmi kivonat: | The number of interethnic adoptions when non-Roma parents adopt Roma children is gradually growing in Hungary. The aim of the study is to introduce the perception of the Roma within a special segment of those Hungarian adoptive parents who adopt children with presumably Roma origins, but they do not identify themselves being Roma. The analysis discusses once the conceptualization and its appearance of the presumable Roma origin in nuclear or wider families that do not embody Roma identity. Also touches upon the contents and significations related to Roma identity and the importance of its transfer from adoptive parents to the adoptee. The study further highlights results of a research based on questionnaires focusing on Roma identity. |
