The Hamerli Glove Manufacture was founded by János Hamerli in the 1860s. János Hamerli was a very talented tanner, who wandered after his studies in the Habsburg Empire. In 1865 he founded a glove manufacture in Vienna. He continuously developed his manufacture in Pécs, which became a recognized glove manufacture.
